Welcome to the St. Clare of Assisi Parish Community web site, an important parish resource and help center.

The mission of the Catholic community of St. Clare of Assisi is to respond to God's call with personal commitment and community action. Our purpose is to be visible witnesses to Christ as recounted in the Gospel of Matthew (Ch. 5:6) "Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires of them; God will satisfy them fully!"

Our dream is to build a community based on forgiveness of one another, caring for each other, bearing one another's burdens, personal prayer and sacramental worship.

» BE A GUARDIAN ANGEL
The Reach Out Group invites you to be a GUARDIAN ANGEL.  Knit toques for newborn babies for Humber River Regional Hospital.  The toques are vital to helping newborn babies retain body heat.

We provide the pattern and the wool, you knit as many or as few toques as you like.  Pick up more wool and drop off toques every month. Sessions are held on last Monday of the month in the lower level of the Church from 8:00-8:30 p.m. You can pick up your wool and pattern at the session or drop in for information.  If you are unable to attend one of these sessions and would like to find out more, contact Deb Fillippe at 905-303-3216.

» MASS ETIQUETTE
The Parish Council has available a brochure on parish etiquette.  The suggestions offered are simple reminders, intended to help all parishioners develop the habits that make our common worship full, rich and prayerful.  It’s about respecting the sanctity of God’s house and the Mass, and about being considerate of others.

The way we worship is a reflection of our beliefs

You can contact the Church office (905-653-8000) for a copy, or Download a copy of the etiquette Brochure here.
